Volkswagen has announced the date of the much anticipated release of his first ‘pick up’, a model that has received 18,000 orders just one month, the Amarok, which will reach the Spanish market next September. The German group has already begun delivering the first units in Latin America, after its commercial launch in March. The Amarok is the fourth model range of Volkswagen commercial vehicles.
The manufacturer Volkswagen, can distance itself further as a leader in the automotive market, thanks to worldwide sold 88 900 units in the first quarter, representing an increase of 13.7% over the same period of 2009. The company said the situation in the commercial vehicle sector improves following the sharp fall recorded in 2009 by the economic crisis.
In Western Europe, the consortium of Wolfsburg 53 600 commercial vehicles sold last month between January and March, up 8.9%. In the Spanish market, growth of deliveries reached 33.3%.
